Chinese New Year just passed and everything is back to normal.
By normal, I mean work work & work.
As many already knew, I've been spending the past 8 months pursuing my Master's degree in Civil Engineering (If you don't, here's a heads up :P)
I would say that Masters is not as hard as expected.
Writing papers for journals, publication papers and even going for conferences are just minor steps in meeting the requirements for a masters' degree.
However, I find my work as a graduate research assistant (GRA) to be more of a pain during my time of study.
Since April 2015, I have been helping my boss cum supervisor in handling and helping in projects.
Traveling here and there, getting this and that done on time, and even some paper work.
Learning is a process in life that we cannot avoid and without doubt there were so much that I have learned while being a GRA.
Mingling with the university's high committees is a privilege.
Learning to persuade, communicate effectively and even learning to listen becomes a training process.
Overall, I did not regret my decision to choose this path over working in consultant or construction sites.
As to date, I am currently in the midway in completing my research.
Done my pilot study (after hours or begging people to fill up the questionnaires), done my analysis (after more hours on entering data and figuring out what to click) and will be doing my 1st conference presentation in a week time.
More conferences are pending and awaiting my submission of papers.
A step at a time is my way of approaching matters like these without worry.
On the side track, I have been reading a lot on Lucid Dreams.
It is said to be a way to relax, imagine a world of your own and above it all, control your own DREAMS!
Drink apple juice before sleeping...it helps :D
That's it for now.
I should get back to working :\
